How Fingernails Grow & Ways to Help Them Grow FASTER

Hii everyone ! (=

How's the week going so far?
Well, I got a recent message from a reader: "Hey I would love to ask you, what makes nails grow faster ?"
Well I have made this search a while ago and have found some interesting facts and tips on this matter.

Apparently the longer the finger, the faster the fingernail will grow. Nails grow faster in warm climates, so that means your fingernails will grow faster in the summer. Also, if you are on a diet it is true that your nails will grow slower. However,  fingernails grow about 1/8 of an inch per month. Add that slow growth rate to splitting, breaking, poor diet and poor nail care in general and no wonder it seems like it takes forever to grow your nails long. All that said, there are things you can do to make your fingernails grow faster. Here’s how:

Scientific evidence shows that when exposed to water for long periods of time your finger nails grow faster. The tough protein called keratin begins to form quicker because keratin is made of 67% water.

> Manicures can speed up the grow of your nails.

If you want faster growing nails, be sure that your diet is rich in Vitamins A, B-Complex, C, D, E and iron, calcium, zinc, sulfur, and fatty acids. Most vitamins that are good for the nails are also great for hair.

In my opinion the best one is by rubbing garlic on your nails...
Get the garlic cut it up in pieces, make garlic juice and rub that on your fingernails, leave on for about 30 minutes then wash your hands. Everyone knows that tapping your fingers makes the nails grow faster. Ask any pianist ;P .
You can get your fingernails to grow faster by giving them a daily massage with sunflower oil, olive oil or almond oil. Even better if you soak your nails daily for about 20 min in warm olive oil.

Personally I perfer to do it in a natural way than just search for all those vitamins to take in. However if you would like to know which food contains those vitamins let me know and I will make a new post about those.

Hope It Helped ;)
Yours Truly,
MJ xx
