- AUTUMN / WINTER 2012 NAIL TRENDS -

Nail Art is no longer the province of teenage girls with transfer stickers.
A chic, grown-up alternative is achievable using magnetic polishes, which creates a textured pattern, Crackle nail paint and much more.
The classic manicure is always very fashionable and chic, this year you get to turn it upside down. Instead of using white in your fingertips try darker tones such as dark green tones, dark blue and dark red. This season all eyes are on the tips of our nails, so if your hand isn’t very much steady then you can use tape to help you out, which some people don’t find it much helpful as some glue of the tape can be left on the nail. Other way of doing it is this technique that I learned from my Mother: paint across your thumb and rub it onto the finger tip of your nail on the other hand. Easy, simple and quick. On my next post I’ll photograph the process so its easier to visualise ;) !
According to Vogue Beauty the Autumn/Winter Nail Trends for this year are:
- Metalics
- Dark french manicures
- Dark Green
- Chocolate Brown
- Magnetic Effect Polish (This is very into fashion now)
- Nudes (are back on this year)
and many many more.
According to Harpers Bazaar UK their suggestion of this year nail trends for Autumn/Winter do not differ much from Vogue’s choices. I’ve also added some of my choices, and since a Photo speaks louder than words: see for yourself.
Don’t forget to comment and let me know what you think about this years’ suggestions. Also email me any enquires you have and if you got any suggestions of what type of articles you wish to read in here: mjnailsd@gmail.com
